The Results Are In!!!

Yeah for me! I've lost 15 of these (lbs. of butter). I've been blogging about my weight loss journey, so I thought I'd give an official update on my progress. While I am not yet to my final goal, the results of my six-week nutrition class are in and I'm not complaining. I've officially lost 15 lbs, 14 inches, and 8% body fat!!! I'm so excited. It is definitely motivating. I CAN do this! I am NOT destined to be a chubby girl! Yeah for me!

Back to the Future, or the Past...whatever!!!

Big Hair, Big Makeup, Big Fun!!! Saturday Night we celebrated Chad's big 40th with an awesome 80's bash. EVERYONE got into the action and dressed up. I think shopping for the outfits was the most fun! Luckily, 80's stuff is back in style (at least I think that's lucky!) Hailey asked if she could have all my accessories when I was done-I was happy to hand them off. While it was fun for a night, I prefer a "classier" look for everyday. Michelle planned a great party with yummy Wahoo's and fun games, including "Name that 80's Tune". Lona was the definite 80's trivia winner. Too fun! Thanks Cliffords!!!

Hannah Montana Baby!

You'd think they'd died and gone to heaven!!! A day off of school was the perfect excuse to meet and take the girls to see Hannah Montana 3D. I discovered my Sammy has some serious dance moves...and of course the girls all had the "girl squeal" down. To kick off "cousin weekend" with my cute nieces, Grace and Faith, we met two of my other nieces, Hannah and Sarah, and my "adopted" nieces Maddie and Payton Hazen. We went to the afternoon show and then to pizza. What an afternoon. I think my ears are still ringing and my head pounding.
Maddie, Payton, Grace, Faith (front and center), Hannah, Sammy, and Sarah! How cute are those 3D glasses?!?

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is turning out to be the best Valentine's Day ever! This morning Jakey made my bed for me (his own idea...how CUTE is that?), Matt and I went to a spinning class together at the gym, AND he just finished vacuuming the upstairs (his idea too!), and it's raining (I love the rain...so romantic) Soon we're off for a couple's massage, sushi, and the temple. Can this day get any better? I submit that it CANNOT.

New York...NEW YORK!!!

Although there are many disadvantages to having a husband who travels a lot, there are also some advantages. My FAVORITE is joining him on a trip. Lucky for me, he had to go to New York last week so he made plans for me to meet him there, along with our good friends Rob and Rachel. And because he travels sooooo much, I even got to fly first class! Oh, how spoiled am I?!? We had a VERY early morning flight (we left the house at 4:30). None of us slept the night before!
Of course, I was ready complete with eye mask, ear plugs, pillow, blanket, IPod, the WORKS!
Our first day, we got to see a taping of the Late Show. So fun. We wore our voices out cheering in the crowd. Did anyone hear us Thursday night? By the way, Eva Longoria is WAY TINY in person.
Riding the Subway with my Hubby!
Lunch in Little Italy...YUM!
I love a good excuse to bundle up in winter clothes (we don't get to do that in California very much)
Goofing off on the Subway...yes, I know this will probably totally embarrass my kids. But hey, their mom is really talented at Subway surfing...."it's all in the legs".
We got tickets to see "Legally Blonde". Mindless, but really cute.
Do we look alike?
Chinatown in the rain...in the POURING rain.
A must stop in New York (my bag is bigger than your bag Rachel!) Actually, all I got this time around was silver cleaner!
I almost adopted a baby at FAO Schwartz. The "nurse" didn't seem to think it was very funny and told me the rocking chair was "only for the children". Like I was going to break it? I have to say, she WAS the only rude New Yorker we encountered this trip. They were all so friendly! Really!
Splurging at Magnolia Bakery. Cupcakes anyone?
Enjoying lunch outside Chelsea Market. I had the best clam chowder (Manhattan style of course!)
We can't wait to go back!!! WE LOVE NEW YORK!!!
