Hiccaches

Yesterday morning, we were getting ready for church and Sammy was hiccuping a lot. She said, "Mommy, I have the hiccups and a stomachache so I think I have a HICCACHE." Having a sweet seven year old girl around the house is so much fun. She is the perfect ending to our family. She is so sweet and fun and FUNNY. I love seeing the world through her eyes. I wish I could freeze time. I'm loving my kids ages (except for the occasional hormonal teenage drama from Hailey-wait, did I say OCCASIONAL???) Last night we all went on a bike ride around the lake after dinner and it was so much to watch all of my kids and how full of life they all are. Matt and I really got lucky to be sent such sweet, loving, fun children to raise. I admit, I don't feel that way EVERY moment of EVERY day, but most days I do. I always thought I would miss having a baby around the house, but the thing I didn't realize is they are all still my babies. It is so wonderful to watch them all grow into their personalities and develop their talents and interests. I love my job!

Absolutely NOTHING to blog about...

Which I guess is kind of a good thing. It is a bit of the calm before the storm of Women's Conference, a business trip to San Fran, and the end of the year hulabaloo with the kids. It's not that our lives aren't crazy busy, it's just I'm sure no one wants to read a post on my meetings in Orange County, Matt and I doing a "cleanse", Hailey playing lots of soccer, Spencer being cute, Jake having a pizza party at Scouts, or Sammy's obsession with bike-riding. All normal, boring, run of the mill stuff!

Run to See...Run Fat Boy Run

GO. SEE. THIS. MOVIE!!! Maybe it WAS actually as funny as I thought, maybe I was just giddy to be playing hooky from mommyhood on a Tuesday night-but this movie is the funniest I've seen in a long time. As I was going to sleep, I kept thinking of scenes and would start giggling. Seriously. GO. SEE. THIS. MOVIE!!!

Naked Missionary Experience

So, in all my 35 years of life, I've never had this happen! Last week, I was getting my monthly massage (I KNOW I'm a total brat) and I realized I had forgotten my underwear! Those who wear "G"s know why this is so important. Anyway, I decided to suck it up and tell my therapist that he just had to be extra careful with the strategic sheet tucking this time 'cause I forgot my underwear. Then, because I didn't want him thinking I walked around without underwear, I told him that I usually wear a religious garment. So....what started as an embarrassing situation, actually turned into a pretty cool talk about the church. Weird, but cool. What was your craziest missionary experience???

"Ode to Sprinkles"

You are so yummy and oh so sweet.. you are, perhaps, my favorite treat! Good thing you are so far away... if not, I'd visit everyday. And then, alas, my jeans would "pop"... 'cause when it comes to cupcakes I CAN'T STOP!!!
